Makassar, fkg.fkg.umi.ac.id – The Faculty of Dentistry, Indonesian Muslim University is gratefully commemorating its 14th anniversary as a momentum in producing professionals in the field of dental and oral health. Carrying the theme "14 Years of Work, Innovation, Contribution to Indonesia's Dental and Oral Health,". This event will be held on Tuesday, April 28 2026 at 10.00 WITA at the POMD FKG UM buildingI.
The 14th Anniversary of FKG UMI took place in a spirit of togetherness, attended by various elements of leadership and the academic community. The Chairman of the Trustees of the UMI Waqf Foundation took part in online activities via Zoom meetings, while the management of the UMI Waqf Foundation, the Chancellor of UMI, the deputy Chancellors of UMI, the Deans within UMI, the Director of RSIGM YW UMI, the Chair of POMD FKG, the Chair of MT FKG, and the principals of LPP YW UMI, were present in person. The presence of these leaders is a form of real support for the development and progress of FKG UMI.
The series of events began with singing the song Indonesia Raya, followed by Mars UMI and Mars KBMFKG-UMI FKG. Next, the event continued with the reading of holy verses from the Koran and prayers led by Deputy Dean IV FKG UMI Dr. Surani, S.Ag.M.Ag, as a form of hope for blessings and the smooth running of the entire series of activities.
Entering the main event, the activity began with an introduction from the Dean of FKG UMI, Prof. Drg. H. Moh. Dharma Utama, PhD., Sp.Pros, SubsSp.PKIKG(K) who expressed his gratitude for the achievements that have been achieved over the past 14 years, as well as hopes to continue to improve the quality of education and services in the field of dentistry.
"I hope that the FKG UMI academic community will continue to give appreciation and achievement because this is one of the values to remain superior," he said.
then in the speech by the Chancellor of UMIProf. Dr. H. Hambali Talib, S.H., M.H. emphasized the important role of the Faculty of Dentistry in supporting the university's vision as a superior and competitive institution.
"This 14 year journey is a marker of the commitment, dedication and contribution of FKG UMI in producing dentists who are superior, professional, have integrity and are competitive. Hopefully FKG UMI will always grow into a faculty that is increasingly advanced, innovative and provides broad benefits to society, the nation and the world of health. Continue to move forward, continue to serve and continue to make achievements for Indonesia." he said
A speech was also delivered by the administrator of the UMI Waqf Foundation Prof. Dr. Hj. Masrurah Mokhtar, MA expressed her appreciation for FKG's contribution so far.

The activity became more meaningful with a lecture from the Chairman of the UMI Waqf Foundation, Prof. Dr. H. Mansyur Ramly, SE, M.Si. which was delivered in a hybrid manner via Zoom meeting, presenting inspirational messages about the importance of integrity, dedication and Islamic values in carrying out professions in the health sector.
As part of efforts to strengthen institutional synergy, the event continued with the signing of an MOU between the Faculty of Dentistry UMI and RSIGM YW-UMI. It is hoped that this collaboration can improve the quality of clinical education, research and services to the community.
In closing, the activity was marked by the cutting of the tumpeng by the leadership as a symbol of gratitude and hope for the blessings and success of FKG UMI in the future.
