
Makassar,fkg.umi.ac.id– Faculty of Dentistry, Indonesian Muslim University is again holding the Dentistry Scientific Meeting (DENTIN) Vol. V which carries the themeFrom Science to Clinical Excellence: Driving Innovation and Professional Integrity Inspired by Siri' na Pacce.This activity will take place on 3–5 July 2026 and will present a series of scientific events, dental exhibitions, social services, as well as a gathering of alumni and the FKG UMI academic community. The opening of the activity was held on Friday, July 3 2026 at the Grand Diamond Ballroom Myko Hotel Makassar. The event began with participant registration, cultural arts performances, reading of the holy Koran, report from the committee chairman, as well as remarks from the dean of FKG UMI, remarks from the chairman of FOKGII, remarks from the South Sulawesi regional administrator, followed by remarks from the Chancellor of UMI and the chairman of the management of the UMI Waqf Foundation.
In his speech, the Chancellor of UMI expressed his appreciation for the consistency of FKG UMI in holding scientific forums which are a forum for developing knowledge, increasing competence, and strengthening professional networks in the field of dentistry. According to him, DENTIN is part of UMI's commitment to supporting the improvement of the quality of human resources that are superior, competitive, and based on Islamic values.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Management of the UMI Waqf Foundation emphasized the importance of maintaining professional integrity and continuing to innovate in providing health services to the community. He hopes that the Siri' na Pacce values raised as the theme of the activity can become a moral foundation for academics and health workers in carrying out community service.
The opening momentum was also combined with the handover of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between FKG UMI and related professional organizations, as well as a tumpeng cutting procession in the context of the Anniversary of the Indonesian Muslim University.
In the scientific session, participants had the opportunity to take part in presentations from leading speakers who discussed various strategic issues in the world of dentistry, ranging from scientific development, clinical innovation, to strengthening the professionalism of dental health workers. This activity also presented a number of presenters and moderators who came from academics and experienced practitioners in their fields.

Apart from scientific seminars, DENTIN Vol. V also presented the Dentistry Exhibition which will last for two days, 3–4 July 2026, at Myko Hotel Makassar. This exhibition is a forum for companies, educational institutions and industrial partners to introduce various innovations, technologies and the latest products in the field of dentistry.
As a form of community service, the committee also held a social service on July 5 2026 in the RSIGMP FKG UMI area. It is hoped that this activity will provide direct benefits to the community while increasing awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy teeth and mouth.
DENTIN series of activities Vol. V will close with a Gathering of Alumni and Academic Community FKG UMI which will be held on July 5 2026 at the POMD FKG UMI Multipurpose Field. This activity is an opportunity to strengthen relationships between alumni, lecturers, students, and the entire FKG UMI family in a togetherness and family atmosphere.
Through the implementation of DENTIN Vol. V, FKG UMI emphasized its commitment to supporting the development of dental science, encouraging innovation in health services, and strengthening professional integrity based on local values of Siri' na Pacce as the identity and pride of the people of South Sulawesi.
