
Makassar, fkg.umi.ac.id – The Faculty of Dentistry, Indonesian Muslim University carried out educational outreach activities at SMA Negeri 4 Gowa which were attended by around 70 participants on Friday 12 June 2026. This activity was part of FKG UMI's efforts to introduce the dental education program to high school level students.
The UMI FKG group was led directly by the Dean of UMI FKG Prof. Drg. H. Moh. Dharma Utama, Ph.D., Sp.Pros., SubSp. PKING (K) who was accompanied by Deputy Dean II FKG UMI Dr. Ilmianti, M.Kes together with a number of lecturers, staff and clerkship students. The group's presence was warmly welcomed by the Principal of SMA Negeri 4 Malino and the staff of teachers who expressed their appreciation for the visit and attention of FKG UMI to the students.

In this activity, participants obtained various information regarding the profile of FKG UMI, learning systems, educational facilities, student achievements, and career opportunities that can be pursued after completing education in the dental field. Apart from that, students were also given an overview of the new student admission process as well as the various superior programs that FKG UMI has.
On this occasion, the Dean of FKG UMI said that this socialization activity aims to provide insight to students regarding the importance of continuing their education to tertiary level and introduce the dentist profession as a profession that has an important role in improving public health.
The students seemed enthusiastic about participating in the entire series of activities, as seen from the many questions asked during the discussion and question and answer sessions. The interactions that occur show the students' high interest in obtaining further information about the world of college and the health professions.
Through this outreach activity, FKG UMI hopes to provide motivation for students to continue to excel and prepare themselves for higher education, as well as strengthening the cooperative relationship between FKG UMI and SMA Negeri 4 Malino in supporting improving the quality of education for the younger generation.
