Makassar,fkg.umi.ac.id– The annual National Dental Health Month (BKGN) activity was held again at the Islamic Dental and Oral Hospital of the Indonesian Muslim University with the theme "Healthy teeth and gums, Indonesian smile great” from October 7 to October 9, 2025.
This activity is an annual agenda organized by FKG UMI and RSIGM UMI. The main program of BKGN activities this year is focused on the School Health Program (SHP) and Free Dental Treatment (FDT). The examinations and treatments provided during these three days include scaling (cleaning tartar), simple tooth fillings, and tooth extraction.
The highlight of this year's BKGN event was on October 9 which took place at the POMD FKG multipurpose building which was attended directly by the Chairman of the UMI Waqf Foundation, Prof. Dr H .Mansur Ramly, SE.M.Si, Chairman of the Management of the UMI Waqf Foundation Prof. Dr. Hj. Masrurah Mokhtar, Chancellor of UMI prof. Dr. H. Hambali Talib, S.H. M.H., Dean of FKG UMI Prof. Drg. H. Moh, Dharma Utama, PhD, Sp.Pros, SubSp. PKIKG (K), Main Director of RSIGM UMI drg. Nur Fadhilah Arifin, M.Kes., FIHFAA, representative of Unilever Indonesia Muhammad Rizal, Chair of PDGI Pengwil Sulselbar Dr. Drg. Ardiansyah S Pawinru, Sp. Ort., Subsp. DDTK (K), as well as a number of leaders and invited guests within the scope of UMI.
Chair of the 2025 BKGN Committee, drg. Aksani Taqwim, Sp. Pros said that the FDT activity lasted for three days and the number of patients was 710, the Training of Trainers activity involved 17 schools which took place in the Hall on Floor. 2 FKG UMI.
Dean of FKG UMI Prof. Drg. H. Moh, Dharma Utama, PhD, Sp.Pros, SubSp. PKIKG (K) added that FKG UMI collaborated with RSIGM UMI in implementing BKGN which had been held for five years.

"This BKGN activity is not only part of FKG academically but is also full of meaning as promotional material and also as part of community service," he said.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the UMI Waqf Foundation Management, Prof. Dr. Hj. Masrurah Mokhtar said that FKG UMI FKG UMI always takes part in this activity and hopes that in the future there will be other activities that can improve the quality of FKG and RSIGM UMI.
Chairman of the Trustees of the UMI Waqf Foundation, Prof. Dr H .Mansur Ramly, SE.M.Si congratulated the successful activities of BKGN FKG and RSIGM UMI.
The peak of the BKGN 2025 closing ceremony was marked by sounding sirens and confetti which marked BKGN 2025 officially closed.
