After successfully obtaining a bachelor's degree in dentistry for 7 semesters. A total of 46 dental graduates are ready to immediately enter the COAS clerkship as professional dental students at the Faculty of Dentistry (FKG), Indonesian Muslim University, which will last for 3 semesters. For this reason, the academic community held thanksgiving for the implementation of the clerkship of the first batch of dental professional students at the Faculty of Dentistry. This was conveyed by the dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Dr.drg.H Syamsu khaldun M Mkes at a thanksgiving event in the hall of the Faculty of Dentistry, UMI campus 1 (20/7).
Present were the UMI chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hj Masrurah Mokhtar, MA, the second deputy chancellor, Dr. Ir.
Syamsu Khaldun reported that these 46 were the first alumni of FKG UMI and after they obtained a bachelor's degree in dentistry, they automatically entered the dental profession study program (coas/clerkship) of the first generation of FKG UMI and would follow the clerkship program for 3 semesters so that in total they took 10 semesters of study to become a dentist and thank God they did it according to academic regulations.
"This clerkship system with the education system implemented by this integrative clerkship system is also based on the 2015 Indonesian dentist competency standards," said Syamsu Khaldun who was accompanied by deputy dean 2 of FKG Dr Masyita Fujiko.
Meanwhile, the Chancellor of UMI, Prof. Dr. Hj Masrurah Mokhtar, MA, said that FKG is the youngest faculty and Alhamdulillah, students can get their dentist degree in time for 7 semesters and immediately carry out coas at Ibnu Sina Hospital.
"God willing, 3 semesters so that in total I will achieve the title of dentist for 10 semesters. I hope that my children who will be on duty will be serious about carrying out their duties and study harder because the mandate as a dentist is a profession that will be able to provide the best service and of course by continuing to refer to Islamic values as the vision of UMI as an educational and da'wah institution to produce alumni who are knowledgeable, practice scientific deeds and have good morals.
