The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of the Indonesian Muslim University (UMI) again held a guest lecture session in the field of oral surgery which was centered in the hall room on the 2nd floor of the FKG UMI building, Jalan Padjonga Daeng Ngalle, Makassar, Tuesday (24/06/2025).
This guest lecture activity presented Drg. Muhammad Irfan Rsul, Ph.D., Sp.BMM., Subsp. C.O.M. (K) guided by UMI FKG lecturer Drg. Muhammad Hidayatullah, Sp. BMM with the topic "dealing with bleeding in post-tooth extraction cases: effective strategies and techniques"
"The history of oral and maxillofacial surgery patients must be carried out systematically to prevent post-procedure complications. There are multi-factorial causes of bleeding after procedures, including the patient's system, the wrong technique for carrying out the procedure or errors made by the operator. There are various techniques for managing bleeding after the procedure, including the administration of anti-hemolytic agents such as spongostan, bone wax, or local approaches such as deep treatment." he explained
