The Faculty of Dentistry, Indonesian Muslim University (FKG UMI) successfully held a Gathering Night for new students Class of 2025 with the theme "forming a shining generation by bringing potential, optimism, energy and Islamic values to life towards a bright future" (16/2/2026).
Taking place at the Claro Makassar hotel Phinisi 2 ballroom, this event was attended by UMI's assistant vice chancellor III, Dr. Dr. Ir. Anshariah, ST., MT.IPP, Chair of the Association of Parents of Students and Lecturers (POMD) FKG UMI, father, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Muhammad Kasnir, M.Si, Dean of FKG UMI, father, Prof. Drg. Moh. Dharmautama, Ph.D., Sp.Pros., SubSp. PKIKG (K), Chair of MT FKG UMI, mother of drg. Radia Dharma Utama, FKG UMI lecturers, FKG UMI community members, all guardians/parents of new students class of 2025, as well as administrators of the BEM KBMFKG UMI and DMP KBMFKG UMI institutions.
The series of events began with the chanting of the divine kalam by the new student saritilawah team class of 2025. Followed by the submission of a report on the implementation of the activities by the committee chairman Muh. Fajril Ramadhan.
"The aim of this activity is to strengthen ties between new students, channel talent and creativity, and foster a sense of togetherness and solidarity among the class of 2025," he said.

He expressed that he hopes this activity will be a motivation for friends to always be enthusiastic and progress at the Faculty of Dentistry and at BEM KBMFKG UMI and I also thank the parents of the students who have trusted BEM KBMFKG UMI to guide the 2025 students in the process and channel their talents in this evening gathering activity.
Followed by remarks from the DPM KBMFKG UMI by Muh. Rifa'at Al-Qadri expressed his congratulations to the class of 2025 who have reached this point.
Then it was continued with remarks from the parent representative of the class of 2025, Mrs. Yuhasni Yunus, S.Sos. He advised to study diligently because all of Indonesia is looking forward to the service of FKG UMI alumni. and reminded that parents' prayers always accompany every drop of sweat in the learning process at FKG UMI.
Chairman of POMD, father, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Muhammad Kasnir, M.Si. also gave his speech. He conveyed various phases of management during his time as chairman of POMD so that POMD FKG UMI is still standing today. POMD not only helps students' problems but also helps alleviate the needs of the faculty.
Next, speech from the Dean of FKG UMI, Prof.'s father. Drg. Moh. Dharmautama, Ph.D., Sp.Pros., SubSp. PKIKG (K). He expressed his gratitude to POMD for having a strategic role as a bridge for collaborative communication and strengthening synergy between student parents and institutions. Apart from that, he also congratulated the inauguration of the class of 2025.
"Congratulations to you on today being officially part of the academic community of the dental faculty. Of course you have responsibilities in the scientific, moral and professional world. Becoming a dentist is not only an academic journey but also a journey to form ethical character and social awareness." he said
Followed by remarks from the Assistant Vice Chancellor III of the Indonesian Muslim University, Mrs. Dr. Ir. Anshariah, ST., MT. IPP.
"This is part of the process. As long as you study at UMI, being a student is not just about achieving a high GPA, but more than that. A student is a life choice, you choose to be a student means you choose to grow, you choose to be a student means you choose to work hard. Everything is a process to create a superior generation. Today is not just a ceremony but you are laying the foundation stone of your hopes and dreams and every positive activity means you are adding strength to the foundation or buildings that you will enjoy in the future. So "Continue to carry out positive activities," he stressed.
This Silaturahim Night activity was also coupled with a handover procession for the position of Chair of the Association of Parents, Students and Lecturers (POMD) of the Faculty of Dentistry, Indonesian Muslim University as a form of leadership regeneration for student organizations. During this procession, the position of Chair of POMD was officially handed over to Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Muhammad Kasnir, M.Si. to Drg. Sohrah Ajriani. This handover of positions is an important momentum in continuing the organizational leadership relay, as well as strengthening commitment in supporting the development of potential, character and solidarity of dental students. It is hoped that through new leadership, POMD FKG UMI can continue to play an active role in accommodating student aspirations and improving the quality of student activities that are in line with academic values and professionalism
The series of activities then continued with the launching of the name of the new student class, namely FU2KA5I, as a symbol of identity and togetherness for the class of 2025 in pursuing their academic journey at the Faculty of Dentistry. This momentum is a form of strengthening the spirit of unity, solidarity and pride of new students as part of the large family of the Faculty of Dentistry, Indonesian Muslim University. The 2025 FKG UMI New Student Gathering Night activity closed with a creative performance by the class of 2025 students who presented various artistic and creative performances. This performance is not only entertainment, but also a means of strengthening togetherness between students and showing students' potential and talents in non-academic fields.
