Makassar, fkg.umi.ac.id – The UMI Faculty of Dentistry is carrying out an online admission test for new student candidates which will be held on Friday, May 8 2026.
This activity is one of the selection stages for participants who wish to continue their education in the field of dentistry. The examination takes place online while prioritizing order, discipline and objectivity in assessment. The entire series of activities was coordinated directly by Deputy Dean I FKG UMI drg. Syamsiah Syam, Sp. KG and Deputy Dean III FKG UMI drg. Nurasisa Lestari, M. Kes, Sp. KGA together with the implementing committee to ensure the exam process runs smoothly and according to procedures.
The exam stages carried out include the Academic Potential Test (TPA), eye examination and dental skills. The Academic Potential Test aims to measure participants' basic academic and reasoning abilities. Meanwhile, eye examinations are carried out to determine the vision condition of prospective students as a support in the dental learning process. Apart from that, participants also take a dental skills exam to see the participants' basic skills and accuracy in the field of dentistry. This stage is an important part of the selection process because it is directly related to the competencies that will be developed during the education period. It is hoped that the implementation of this online exam will provide easy access for participants from various regions to take part in the selection process without being constrained by distance. By holding this activity, the UMI Faculty of Dentistry hopes to attract prospective students who are qualified, competent, and ready to contribute to the world of dental and oral health.
