Strengthen Spirituality and Togetherness of the FKG UMI Academic Community

Makassar, fkg.umi.ac.id – The academic community of FKG UMI, RSIGM YW UMI, and the Indonesian Muslim University UMI Educational Preparation Institute (LPP) held Final Remembrance and Prayer for April 2026 at the Abu Bakar Ash-Shiddiq Mosque, Campus I UMI, Friday (24/4/2026).

This solemn activity was attended by Deputy Chancellor IV UMI, Dr. KH. Muhammad Ishaq Samad, together with the Dean of FKG UMI Prof. Drg. H. Dharma Utama, Ph.D., Sp. Pros., SubSp. (K), faculty leaders, Director of RSIGM, Principal of LPP, as well as a congregation of lecturers, education staff and students.

The series of remembrances and prayers were led by Deputy Dean IV FKG UMI, Dr. Surani, M.Ag. In this activity, the congregation was invited to reflect and strengthen their faith amidst the dynamics of academic activities and health services.

In his taushiyah, Muhammad Ishaq Samad emphasized the importance of making dhikr and prayer a part of the life of the academic community. According to him, spiritual strength has an important role in forming character, maintaining professional ethics, and strengthening integrity, especially in educational and health service environments.

"Dhikr and prayer should not only be a routine, but must be able to strengthen commitment in carrying out your mandate as an academic person based on Islamic values," he said.

Apart from being a means of spiritual strengthening, this activity is also used as an opportunity to strengthen relationships between units within the UMI environment. The synergy between FKG, RSIGM, and LPP is considered important in supporting the development of institutions based on Islamic values.

The activity closed with a joint prayer offered for the blessings of the institution, the health of the entire academic community, as well as the progress of the Indonesian Muslim University in the future.

Through this activity, it is hoped that religious values ​​will become more entrenched in campus life, in line with UMI's commitment to being a superior university with an Islamic character.
