
Makassar, umi.ac.id – The Faculty of Dentistry Indonesian Muslim University is again carrying out community service activities through a dental health examination and education program for students at the Tinggimoncong Center Public Elementary School, Malino, Gowa Regency. This activity is part of a series of commemorations of the 72nd Anniversary of the Indonesian Muslim University.
A total of 139 students took part in activities aimed at increasing awareness and knowledge about the importance of maintaining oral health from an early age.
Dean of FKG UMI Prof. Drg. H. Moh. Dharma Utama, Ph.D., Sp.Pros., SubSp. PKING (K) and the UMI FKG delegation were warmly welcomed by the Principal of the Tinggimoncong Center State Elementary School Mustakin AR, S.Pd. MM and the staff of teachers expressed their appreciation for FKG UMI's concern for the health of students.

In this activity, the UMI FKG team conducted direct dental health examinations for all participants and provided education regarding the correct way to brush their teeth, the importance of maintaining oral hygiene, and efforts to prevent dental and oral diseases that are often experienced by school-age children.
The atmosphere of the activity was interactive and full of enthusiasm. The students actively took part in counseling and participated in question and answer sessions given by the team of dentists and UMI FKG clerkship students.
Through this community service activity, FKG UMI hopes to contribute to improving the quality of dental and oral health in the community, especially school-aged children, as well as strengthening the institution's commitment to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through health services and education to the community.
This activity is a real form of FKG UMI's concern in supporting the creation of a generation that is healthy, intelligent, and has a high awareness of the importance of maintaining healthy teeth and mouth.
