Makassar,fkg.umi.ac.id– The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of the Indonesian Muslim University again held a routine judicial event for the pronouncement of the dentist's oath and the appointment of dental graduates for period V in 2025 which was held at the Claro Makassar hotel (29/11/2025)
Participants in the fifth period of the judiciary were 50 alumni, including those from the dental profession and those with dental degrees
This activity began with the reading of the holy Koran, followed by the reading of the dean's decree regarding dentist graduates and the reciting of the dentist's oath. then, the reading of the dental undergraduate appointment by the deputy dean I of FKG UMI, namely drg. Syamsiah Syam, Sp.KG., Ph.D.
Followed by remarks from the Chancellor of the Indonesian Muslim University, Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Talib, S.H., M.H
"They passed the competency exam 100% and this is the umpteenth time, this is an extraordinary achievement, of course with the guidance and support of the dental faculty, because the UMI dentistry study program is superior and proves that the results are truly superior. We hope that in the future this dental faculty will become an iconic study program that attracts extraordinary interest." he said
"Congratulations to dental graduates and congratulations to dentists who have just taken the oath of dentistry and the promise of graduate dentistry. Congratulations and thank you to parents and families for the cooperation and support provided. Thank you for the appreciation to the leadership of the Faculty of Dentistry, once again this is an achievement. We look forward to the future, this will be maintained and developed. Congratulations to the children for their success in today's oath and pledge judiciary event," he added
Reading of the Dentist Code of Ethics by Dr. Drg. Nur Asmah, Sp.KG . then continued with the reading of the decision letters for the best graduates, outstanding graduates, and the highest UKMP2DG scores by the Deputy Dean III, namely Drg. Nurasisa Lestari MARS.
In this case too, the Chairman of the Regional Management of the Indonesian Dentists Association (PDGI) South Sulawesi, Dr. Drg. Ardiansyah S. Pawinru, Sp.Ort., Subsp. DDTK (K) received a list of names of dentist alumni from the dental faculty. He advised how dentists must understand the differences between malpractice, malpractice and medical risks. As well as conveying the importance of working according to competence and professionalism.
Dean of FKG UMI, Prof. Drg. H. Moh. Dharma Utama, PhD, Sp. Pros, SubsSp. PKIKG (K), appreciates the struggles of students, especially those going through their education period in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic
"Thank God, all my children who were in the judiciary today who took the dentist competency exam for the first time passed 100%. I am proud, I happen to be the head of national competency when I saw the report that UMI passed 100%. And that makes the faculty and university very proud, once again proving that the UMI dental faculty is truly superior," he said.
This event was combined with the presentation of minutes of the handover of the new and old positions of Deputy Dean IV, witnessed by the Chancellor of the Indonesian Muslim University, the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and his staff, members of the Faculty of Dentistry, judiciary participants, and all the guests present.
