Makassar, fkg.umi.ac.id – The Faculty of Dentistry (FKG) of the Indonesian Muslim University once again held an event for taking the dentist's oath and promising dental graduates for period IV 2025 which was held at the Four Points by Sheraton Makassar hotel (30/8/2025)
The number of participants who took part in the Dentist Professional Oath Judicium was 18 people and 16 participants in the Dentistry Promise Yudisium
This activity began with the reading of the dean's decree regarding dentist graduates and continued with the reciting of the dentist's oath. Then, the dean's decision letter regarding dental graduate graduates was read and continued with the reading of the dental undergraduate appointment by the deputy dean I of FKG, namely Drg. Syamsiah Syam, Sp. KG., Ph.D
Reading of the Dentist Code of Ethics by Drg. Nur Fadhillah Arifin, MARS., FIHFAA . then continued with the reading of the decision letters for the best graduates, outstanding graduates, and the highest UKMP2DG scores by the Deputy Dean III, namely Drg. Nurasisa Lestari MARS.
"I congratulate all the children who have just graduated and congratulations to their parents, finally the long journey ended with achieving the title of dentist. What was achieved by the FKG output became a historical record in the development of the UMI FKG," said Prof. Hambali.
Meanwhile, Chairman of the Dentist Regional Management (PDGI) Prof. Dr. Drg. Asdar Gani, M.Kes expressed his belief that FKG UMI graduates will become the pride of the profession, the hope of the nation, and a light for society.
"Ethics also guides us to be fair to patients, regardless of social background, protect patient secrets, and prioritize patient interests over personal interests. Let ethics be a compass that guides our journey to not only become smart dentists, but to become dentists trusted, respected and missed by society," he said.
Dean of FKG UMI Prof. Drg. H. MOH. Dharma Utama, PhD, Sp. Pros, SubsSp. PKIKG (K), explained that FKG UMI alumni always received a positive image wherever they worked. Therefore, every alumni must continue to maintain this good name.
"I hope that you can put professionalism above personal interests so that you not only have the abilities and skills but also have a responsible character that is in accordance with the code of ethics," he said
